Welcome to Kazan!

We meet you at the airport or railway station. Accommodate in Imereti hotel placed in a historical central part of Kazan. The Russian cuisine holiday lunch in Imereti hotel will let us meet each other and get acquainted. Variously stuffed pancakes, Georgian and Russian cuisines dishes from meat, dairy products, salads, jams, cheese, made in a hotel’s  restaurant, are ready for you to taste. Bon appetite!

Full and happy we are going then to the city tour  around Kazan  visiting all places of attraction.

The old streets with their ancient history and the modern city life are bound together in our tour.

You will be able to visit and see lake Kaban embankment , the houses and mosques of 18-th century , merchants’ houses,  ancient cathedrals. The unique Monastery, where the Kazan’s Mother of God icon’s list is kept ; the Millenium of Kazan Museum, where the history of Tatars   is shown from its origin; the Svoboda Square are going to be visited .

The Farmers Palace on the Palaces’ Square fascinates you with its beauty and greatness. A new embankment, sport facilities of the city also look massive.

You will have dinner with a master class “Secrets of Russian holiday cuisine” on the terrace of Imereti hotel with a marvelous city view.

You will hear a story about a traditional Russian cuisine. The restaurant’s cook will demonstrate the technique of national dishes cooking and will teach you them. The Russian cuisine is nourishing and diverse.

After the holiday breakfast in a hotel we are going to the island-town Sviyazhsk to have Maslennitsa walks. The town was  set in a very short period of time by Ivan the Terrible. You will know the fantastic story of the town’s origin.

You will see:

• The Trinity Church (1551) , erected on  Ivan the Terrible’s order
• Nikolskaya Church dated by 1556
• The Uspenskiy Cathedral erected in 1560

Sviyazhsk is famous for its’ history, the spirit of Orthodox culture and the landscape beauty. The professional guide will show you amazing monuments of the architecture, tell you the history and legends of this town.

An interactive entertainment program  will be shown. You will see shooters performance, games, dances, a holiday concert, where actors will sing and entertain with guests; taste tea with pancakes and jam and ,of course, meet the Maslennitsa dummy . The theater of Petrushka performance, the “Snow town” capture, and the Maslennitsa dummy’s burning are the most exciting program parts you will see.

Lunch in a Buyan café  is included . The cafe locates in a picturesque Christmas Square. The menu contains simple but delicious dishes, such as pan cakes, barbeque, potato and the specialties as well, such as Sviyazhskaya fish soup ukha and local alcohol drink Medovukha, which we strongly recommend you to taste.
